AUSTRALIA TOURISM UPDATES ON COVID-19

AUSTRALIA TOURISM UPDATES ON COVID-19

Dear Members,
Kindly be informed that MATTA received email from Tourism Australia with regards to the Australian Government had recently  introduced of new border control measures and travel restrictions aimed at controlling the spread of the coronavirus.

At this time these measures are focused on outbound travel from China. Specifically, foreign nationals (excluding permanent Australian residents) who are in mainland China, are not allowed to enter Australia for 14 days from the time they have left or transited through mainland China.

Australian citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family are still be able to enter Australia, but are required to self-isolate for 14 days from the departure from China.

The above measures are current, but this is an evolving public health issue. Advice and restrictions could change. We encourage all travellers visiting or planning to visit Australia to seek the most up-to-date travel and health information prior to departure, and remain informed about changing conditions while in Australia.

Tourism Australia maintains a travel alert section on Australiavisa.my which contains updated information on the latest travel advisories impacting Australia, and this currently includes COVID-19. They would like to share the following information with you about the coronavirus:
